Turning export contracts and letters of credit into liquidity.

The challenge

Large international supplies are won or lost on payment terms. The right instrument lets buyers pay over time and suppliers get paid now.

What we do

  • Supplier credit structures backed by Export Credit Agencies (ECA)
  • Letters of credit and documentary credits: structuring, confirmation and management
  • Discounting and forfaiting of LCs and export receivables
  • Documentary collections and guarantees
  • Coordination between exporter, buyer, banks and ECA

Two ways to finance international supplies

For capital goods, equipment, plants and industrial projects, export credit lets the buyer pay over time while the supplier is paid in full. We structure and coordinate both instruments with exporters, banks and Export Credit Agencies.

Supplier Credit

Financing flow
SuppliersSupplies consolidated
ExporterContract with buyer · 15% upfront + promissory notes
BankDiscounts notes without recourse
ECAInsures the receivable
BuyerRepays each note at maturity
Suppliers: Supplies consolidated → Exporter: Contract with buyer · 15% upfront + promissory notes → Bank: Discounts notes without recourse → ECA: Insures the receivable → Buyer: Repays each note at maturity
What it is
The exporter grants the buyer deferred payment; the receivable is insured by an Export Credit Agency and discounted by a bank without recourse.
Best for
Machinery, equipment and production lines; small and mid-size transactions.
Structure
15% down payment, 85% deferred, typically over 3–5 years, with instalments backed by promissory notes.
Buyer benefits
No separate loan agreement; the deferred amount remains a trade payable; freedom to choose several suppliers and consolidate them in one contract; fast execution.

Buyer Credit

Financing flow
Exporter ↔ BuyerCommercial contract · 15% upfront
Bank → Buyer / ExporterLends to buyer; pays exporter against shipping documents
ECA → BankInsures the loan · cover up to 95%
Buyer → BankRepays the loan over up to 15 years
Exporter ↔ Buyer: Commercial contract · 15% upfront → Bank → Buyer / Exporter: Lends to buyer; pays exporter against shipping documents → ECA → Bank: Insures the loan · cover up to 95% → Buyer → Bank: Repays the loan over up to 15 years
What it is
A bank lends directly to the buyer with Export Credit Agency cover and pays the exporter against shipping documents.
Best for
Large plants and industrial projects, typically from EUR 25 million.
Structure
15% down payment; long tenors of up to 15 years; ECA cover of up to 95%.
Buyer benefits
Long-tenor financing on preferential OECD/ECA terms; capital preserved for other investments; stronger project bankability; one coordinated framework for multiple suppliers and EPC contractors.
